Rising Stars Now at LCWU

Inspiring Women had its second Rising Star session, this time held at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on 16th April 2019. Our esteemed mentors, Sylvia Desouza (Senior Manager International Education at FCC) and Sumayrah Khan (RJ and Host, Founder Qashang) took part in the seminar.

The conversations were deeply enlightening, as the mentors shared their life experiences, obstacles for working women, the importance of knowing your own self/personality, financial independence and societal pressures on women.

Other topics they touched were those of protecting oneself and how to handle workplace harassment, trusting one’s intuition in such situations and keeping strong moral values and believing in themselves.

The best advice that came out of the session was “Do not adapt to the environment, allow yourself to brave through it. You have the power to change the environment.”
