Maryam Arif

Maryam Arif is a Lahore, Pakistan based photographer and video artist. In Pakistan, contemporary art photography has still to establish itself; and Arif is the vanguard of a new wave of photography that is positively altering engrained preconceptions about the value of the photograph in an age of the image. She is currently a photographer at Maryam Arif Photographie and is also an Initiator at Discussion Series. She completed her MBBS but decided to switch to the artistic sector and worked as a curator at NCA for two years.She started her own company aimed to bring her sense of seeing the world to the larger audience.

Marria Khan

Marria Khan has worked as an illustrator, and animator for the last 15 years. She was one of the first women working in the field in Pakistan. In addition to freelance work, she has worked professionally for the Daachi Foundation, Oxford University Press, and Wikkid TV on projects which involve children’s book illustration, concept art, comics and animated content.

Khan is currently working as an illustrator for MangoBaaz. She completed her B.F.A from the National College of Arts in Lahore in 2006 and also has a diploma in animation
